How it works is almost like other narcotics, in that it increases the threshold entirely by stopping pain signals from binding to pain receptors within the nervous system.
Tapentadol has a lower risk of adverse side effects than other opioid analgesics such as morphine and oxycodone, although it still presents a higher risk for psychological addiction.
