Orewa Surf Cam

Te Arai, Forestry and Mangawhai have been the go to beaches for surfers for decades. On Auckland’s East Coast and just over an hour’s drive from Auckland city, they’re easy to get to and are well known for their safe conditions, consistent surf, white sand and clear water. Surf Forecast

Te Arai is Auckland’s #1 surf beach offering pristine white sand beaches and a campground within the regional park. It is well known by surfers for consistent conditions. The quarry at Te Arai that makes for a safe swimming and snorkelling area. Facilities include; parking, toilets and change rooms.

Surf Shop

If you are a complete beginner in terms of Surfing then look out for a surfing school along the Spanish coasts. They are out there and if you can find them you will be able to learn how to surf from experienced instructors as long as possible. The prices of learning how to surf will vary among the different groups that offer lessons, so it is always a good idea to have a shop about looking for the best deal over accepting the first one you come across.

Experienced surfers who visit NZ and do not have stand up paddle boards can usually find a surf shop that will hire out equipment and charge on an hourly to daily basis. Of course if you are able to bring your own surfboard along with you on your travels then the cost of Surfing. Spanish surf shops usually offer the top of the range branded equipment just like many surf shops, so anything you might have forgotten can be purchased.

Aotearoa Surf School was founded in 2002 and was one of the founding surf schools in New Zealand. Aotearoa Surf is owned and operated by Che, a local surfer who has a devotion for all things related to the ocean.
