The most dynamic defensive line duo that the Arizona Cardinals have had in recent times is beginning to get started. One has arrived at training camp, and the other is there but hasn't started performing yet. Defensive ends J.J. Watt and Chandler Jones are predicted to be formidable players for Arizona in 2022's season. At present just one half is getting reps in as Cardinals training camp gets underway.
It isn't a significant thing however, since Watt did not stop exuding his excitement about the new season. Talk to the fans of the Bird Gang enough, and you'll notice how frequently Watt and Jones are always mentioned in the same phrase. Jones's trade request has not been confirmed.
Jones remains in camp , and, based on what we've seen so far, it appears like the strategy is to dress in Cardinals red. There has to be a convincing reason not to play alongside J.J. Watt. It's also an interesting experience playing this season without Jones and 2022 without Larry Fitzgerald, who has still not made an appearance. Fitzgerald's impact is far more emotional as opposed to Jones.
Training camp is just beginning in the morning, but Watt and Jones remain in the Valley. Jones's last year on contract will not go unnoticed. Jones, who has been a three-time Pro Bowler, has worked plentiful to earn more money in the past year since moving to Arizona.
If a contract extension is required, Cardinals fans are likely looking forward to it being completed quickly. If Jones were to walk away and the Cardinals don't have a chance to win the playoffs that wouldn't be a good look for the front office.
